NOT limiting beliefs, LIMITLESS beliefs!

Key #7 to being a PROLIFIC ARTIST
- Transcend your limiting beliefs -
“Whether you think you can
or you think you can't,
you’re right.
-Henry Ford”
The four minute mile
On May 6th 1954 Roger Banister did something that no human being in all of history had done. Everyone was totally convinced it was impossible. Biologists, physiologists and anatomic specialists all said that no-one could ever run 1 mile in under 4 minutes. It was a physical impossibility they said.
Well, Roger did it and then something miraculous happened.
Within 2 months Banister and Australian runner Landy Field broke the record again in the same race.
It has now been broken hundreds of times and has become the standard for mid-distance runners to accomplish.
Lewis Carol in Alice in wonderland expressed it this way:
"Alice laughed: ‘There's no use trying,’ she said; ‘one can't believe impossible things.’
‘I daresay you haven't had much practice,’ said the Queen.
‘When I was younger, I always did it for half an hour a day.
Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.’

The once ‘impossible’ becomes the standard.
Expect to do the impossible.
There was no other reason that the record was being broken repeatedly except:
The limiting belief had been removed.
The 4 minute mile since that time has now been lowered by almost 17 seconds.

How to expand your limiting beliefs
Take one step more… five times.
With your current creative vision ask yourself, ‘What would be the next level of that vision?’ Answer that questions and then repeat asking that same question another four times.
It is the glass ceiling that we run up against about our own self-worth. The truth is that you are only ever going to be worth what you tell yourself you are worth.
It’s all a story that you tell yourself.
My advice is to change your story.
Tell yourself a good one!
